Just like your health, even your sexual health can be improved with a balanced diet.
Bananas and curd (yoghurt) are nutritious foods with various health benefits, but experts suggest having the combination is good for your sexual health too!
Sexual health is crucial for overall well-being, but many tend to ignore it or are unaware of what affects it. Just like your health, even your sexual health can be improved with a balanced diet. Information is abundant on the internet about sexual well-being, which can be confusing. Recently, an expert suggested that bananas and curd can prove to be extremely helpful.
In an interview with the Indian Express, Dr Rituja Ugalmugle, internal medicine, at Wockhardt Hospitals, said that bananas are high in potassium, which aids in blood circulation, an important aspect of sexual health. She explained, “Bananas are high in B vitamins that are important for boosting energy levels and reducing stress, both of which can enhance sexual performance. They also contain an enzyme called bromelain, which is believed to increase libido and reduce impotence in men.”
She added that the probiotics in curd can improve intestinal health, which is connected to better sexual health. Elaborating on how curd is essential, she said it is a good source of protein which improves muscle health and stamina. But can you have curd and banana together? The doctor said, “Together, they provide a balanced mix of carbohydrates, protein, vitamins, and minerals. Also, both foods support digestive health, which is crucial for overall wellness and energy levels.” She, however, noted that while the separate benefits of bananas and curd are well documented, research on their combined impact, particularly on sexual health, is sparse.
Meanwhile, curd and banana have other benefits too. Curd contains vitamins, proteins, and other probiotics. These nutrients promote intestinal health and boost the body’s natural defence mechanisms.
Improved gut health can boost immunity and make the body more resistant to dangerous germs and viruses. Bananas, on the other hand, are rich in iron and digestive fibre. Additionally, it is a good snack that keeps you full.
