Prince Harry seemingly had the entire Kensington Palace in chaos after he pulled off one of the most dangerous stunts.
The Duke of Sussex, who is set to mark his 40th birthday on Sunday, has always been known for his mischievous antics, especially when he was younger.
A former protection officer of the royal family revealed how Prince Harry’s bold moment, and the terror it caused, is still etched in his mind despite all these years.
Recalling the unforgettable anecdote, ex-officer Ken Wharfe, revealed that King Charles’ younger son made a dash for Kensington High Street when he was young child.
Wharfe said young Harry often came up to him in full combat gear, eager for assignments. However, one assignment went wrong after he handed Harry a walkie-talkie and assigned him a task.
Taking his task seriously, Harry decided to bolt from Kensington Palace to Kensington High Street without alerting anyone. It wasn’t until his task was done when he radioed Wharfe to report “mission accomplished.”
The officer rushed out in a way that his feet “didn’t touch the ground” to retrieve Harry after his stunt.
Prince Harry was raised in the grandeur of Kensington Palace and Highgrove House in Gloucestershire alongside his elder brother Prince William, which allowed the two quite a bit of space for mischief.
