Paul Walker is still deeply missed and mourned by friend Vin Diesel 11 years after his death.
The two actors became friends after co-starring in the Fast and Furious franchise and stayed close for almost 15 years, before Walker met his tragic end.
On Tuesday, September 12, which was Walker’s birthday, the bereaved actor took to Instagram, writing a moving message for his late friend, who died in fatal car crash on November 13th, 2013.
“Looking back, a quarter century ago… I believe this was the moment we knew that our brotherhood was going to change Hollywood, that you and I meant something to the world… a multicultural brotherhood, bond not by blood, but by love…” the actor wrote.
“To think I just saw concept art for the next chapter. Brian… yeah, I will have to brace myself for this next film…”
The 57-year-old continued, “I saw your mother and Father this summer. I could feel you in their loving embrace… for the last 11 years I have held words like talismans of light, each have gifted me so much with their love and wisdom.
The actor also heaped on praises for Walker’s daughter, Meadow, and her accomplishments.
“And your daughter… my God, she’s actually continuing your good works, speaking on behalf of our oceans,” he added. “Just weeks ago, at a birthday dinner… Meadow gave a toast, man you would have been so damn proud. She has a way of speaking from her heart that echos (sic) the melody of grace so beautifully.”
Meadow had also introduced special edition t-shirts, featuring a picture of her father, in order to celebrate his 51st birthday.
Ending his note, Diesel wrote that wherever he travels in the world, “there’s always someone there to remind me of the impact we’ve had on their lives. Either showing their cars with pride, haha… or simply saying, they feel like they were raised by us. That beautiful brotherhood, a quarter century old.
“A brotherhood, timeless and bond by love. For that I am eternally grateful… but damn, I miss you Pablo,” he concluded with the birthday wish.
