It’s always a good idea to pay attention when products are recalled so that you can be aware of precautions and safety measures that can help you avoid any potential illness. From Greek yogurt to frozen waffles to apple juice, make sure to check your kitchen for these recently recalled items.
1. Greek Yogurt
Kirkland Signature Greek yogurt was recalled due to mold found in the product.
The yogurts impacted have a printed UPC of “0 96619 22215 5” and a best by date of “2024 AU 10.” The 24-packs of yogurt were distributed to Canadian Costco locations in the following provinces: Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec and Saskatchewan.

2. Seasoned Beef Skirt Steak
Skylark Meats, LLC has recalled its Rock River Cattle Co. Smokey Hibachi Seasoned Beef Skirt Steak due to undeclared allergen ingredients.
The beef skirt steak was sold at Costco and has a Sell By date of September 13, 2024. The product was found to contain soy, wheat and sesame, posing a risk to shoppers with sensitivities or allergies. Fortunately, there have been no reports of illness or adverse reactions from consuming the product.
Consumers who have allergies or sensitivities to soy, wheat or sesame are advised to return the product to their local Costco for a refund. Additionally, you can contact the American Foods Group hotline at 1-800-829-2838 or reach out via email info@AmericanFoodsGroup.com for more information.
3. Frozen Protein Waffles
Kodiak recalled their frozen protein waffles sold at Costco due to plastic found inside the product.
The Kodiak-branded Power Waffles in the flavor “buttermilk & vanilla” were recalled due to the “potential presence of soft plastic film” in the waffles and were sold in 40-count boxes. They have a printed UPC of 705599019203 and a use-by date of “01/10/26.” The waffles also have lot code 24193-WL4 and a printed time stamp of “12:00-23:00.” They were sold at Costco warehouses between July 15 and August 25, 2024.

4. Apple Juice
Various apple juice products sold at Aldi, Walgreens, Walmart and more were recalled due to high levels of arsenic.
The juices affected by this ongoing recall include:
- Great Value Apple Juice sold in six-packs of 8-ounce bottles with best by date of “DEC2824”
- Great Value Apple Juice sold in 96-ounce bottles with best by date “DEC 2624,” “DEC 2724” or “DEC 2824”
- Market Basket 100% Apple Juice sold in 64-ounce bottles with best by date “032525”
- Nice! 100% Apple Juice sold in 64-ounce bottles with best by date “Mar 25 25”
- Weis 100% Apple Juice sold in 64-ounce bottles with sell by date “032525”
- Urban Meadow 100% Apple Juice sold in 64-ounce bottles with best by date “032625”
- Nature’s Nectar 100% Apple Juice sold in 64-ounce bottles with best by date “Mar26 2025” or “Mar27 2025”
- Wellsley Farms 100% Apple Juice sold in 96-ounce bottles with use by date “032625”
- Solevita 100% Apple Juice sold in 64-ounce bottles with best by date “03272025”
- Clover Valley 100% Apple Juice sold in 64-ounce bottles with best by date “03/27/2025″
If you purchase any of these products, you should dispose of them immediately or return them to their place of purchase. You can also contact your local FDA Complaint Coordinator for additional information.
5. Margarine
PC Blue Menu has recalled two of their margarine products, Original Margarine and Margarine with Olive Oil, due to the presence of mold.
The Original Margarine is sold in a 907-gram tub with a UPC code of “0 60383 77867 5” and 1.81-kilogram tubs with a UPC code of “0 60383 77868 2”. The Margarine with Olive Oil is sold in 907-gram tubs with the UPC code “0 60383 77938 2.” The recalled spreads were sold in stores across Canada.

6. Vegan Protein Bars
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency announced an active recall of vegan protein bars due to undeclared milk.
Nutrabolics brand recalled their Feed Me Vegan Protein and Oat bars in the flavor “chocolate coconut.” The protein bars were found to contain milk which was not included on the label.
The protein bars have a best-by date written as “NOV 15 2024,” a UPC of “7 93888 65557 7,” and lot number NB050. No illnesses have been reported so far, but those with dairy allergies or who follow a vegan diet are encouraged to dispose of the bars or return them to the initial place of purchase. 7. Eggs
The FDA announced an ongoing recall of eggs contaminated with salmonella.
The eggs were sold by Milo’s Poultry Farms and Tony’s Fresh Market and include all of their egg products sold between May 23, 2024 and August 10, 2024. There have been at least 65 reports of illness resulting in 24 hospitalizations due to this ongoing recall. The eggs were sold in Illinois, Wisconsin and Michigan, although the linked illnesses have been reported in other states such as California, Colorado, Iowa, Utah and Virginia.
If you purchased eggs from either of these companies during the recall time frame, you should dispose of them or return them to the place of purchase. You can also contact your local FDA Complaint Coordinator with any questions or concerns pertaining to the recall.
