Instagram is launching a sonic identity signature for Reels which is a progressive new approach to the world of sound to harmonize with its brand. The unique sound will play at the end of downloaded Reels as the platform’s counterpart of the TikTok outro for videos.
According to the designers at Instagram, the creative audio and brand team has worked on this sonic experience for countless hours to ensure each note is able to bring forth a wide range of emotions. Sound designer at Meta, Siera Sinclair shares, “We brought a vibe where we intentionally wanted it to be punctuated, but imperfect—a metaphor for everyday creativity that doesn’t have to be perfect to be shared.”
