Meghan Markle is facing mounting criticism from a PR expert following a wave of allegations surrounding her behavior in the workplace, as the staffing controversy continues to escalate.
This month, The Hollywood Reporter published a revealing article featuring a current senior staffer who claimed Meghan operates like a “dictator in high heels,” leaving colleagues feeling “terrified” due to her allegedly “belittling” behavior.
The report even described her tendency for “noisy tantrums” and early morning angry emails, earning her the unflattering nickname “Duchess Difficult.”
In response to these claims, Us Weekly published a cover story featuring current and former employees of the Sussex couple who came to Meghan’s defense, praising her for her kindness.
However, the counter-attack was soon met with fresh allegations. A former courtier, who worked with the Duke and Duchess while they were still royals, spoke to Daily Beast and characterized her as a “demon” boss, describing her as having “psycho moments” that made staff feel “like s**t.”
The latest allegations against Meghan Markle come on the heels of previous bullying claims made in 2018, which she has consistently denied.
A PR expert warns that these new reports could significantly harm her reputation, despite efforts to present a counter-narrative.
Eric Schiffer, Chair of Reputation Management Consultants, stated in an interview with Newsweek that Meghan now appears to be “the enemy of staffers who are fleeing because of the devastating environment.”
He remarked, “Meghan’s challenges are immense because this now is a pattern of behavior outside of Britain that calls into question a level of horrible incompetence in leadership.”
