Popular American singer Lizzo has been making headlines because of her drastic weight loss. Recent pictures of the singer have led fans to attribute her weight loss to Ozempic and other drastic measures. In a recent video, she put an end to all speculation and revealed the secret behind her transformation.
Taking to her Instagram, Lizzo shared a video where she revealed that she transitioned back to animal-based protein during a trip to Japan. She mentioned how a friend suggested she try out the Japanese diet, and she was blown away by the results. Titled, ‘What I Eat In A Day As A Former Vegan’, Lizzo said, “This is the diet that’s helped me reach my goals and helped me feel good in my body.”

The video shows what Lizzo eats in a day. Her diet includes egg white cups with cauliflower hash browns and fruit, okra water, buffalo chicken lettuce wrap, homemade peach tea, grilled chicken, asparagus, and carrots. These dishes are low-carb and rich in nutrients such as protein, healthy fats, and fibre. She said, “After tests and research, I found that animal proteins helped me have more energy, lose weight, and helped with my mental fog. I do believe that the vegan diet is still the healthiest diet to have. I aspire one day to be a raw, alkaline vegan. Until then, this is the diet that’s helped me reach my goals and helped me feel good in my body.”
Lizzo also talked about how veganism is a ‘sensitive’ subject and people have various reasons to switch to a vegan diet. The singer concluded, “Whether you are vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, white meat, or fully carnivorous, I am not going to judge you. Do what’s best for you and your life at that moment. All that matters is you are happy.”
