Meghan Markle is being tipped to come out on top in the ratings battle following the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s professional separation.
The couple, who once seemed determined to make their mark as a power duo, have pivoted to solo public appearances and independent projects, signaling a shift in their career paths.
After stepping down as working members of the Royal Family in 2020, Meghan and Harry signed a lucrative joint deal with Netflix.
Their debut series, Harry & Meghan, became an instant hit, breaking several Netflix records and solidifying their position as major players in the streaming world.
Now, as they move toward individual endeavors, all eyes are on her to see how she navigates her next move, with many believing she will continue to dominate in the entertainment space.
In August 2023, Harry released Heart of the Invictus, a series in which Meghan had only a brief presence. Despite the couple’s prior success, the show didn’t quite reach the same heights.
Harry’s next project, Polo, is set to release on December 10, but royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams believes Meghan’s upcoming Netflix project, a cookery show set for 2025, will likely garner far more attention.
Fitzwilliams told GB News that Meghan’s show is likely to attract a significant audience, predicting it will outshine Polo.
He added, “There’s no doubt it will be more successful than Polo.”
Notably, both did not appear in the trailer for Polo, which focused entirely on the polo players and their relationships within the sport, despite the couple serving as executive producers.
