Rumours of trouble in Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan’s marriage have been doing the rounds for quite some time now. Be it Aishwarya and her daughter Aaradhya arriving separately at Anant and Radhika’s wedding and missing the Bachchan family all together, or Aishwarya dropping ‘Bachchan’ from her surname– these subtle hints were loud and clear for people to know about troubles in Aishwarya and Abhishek’s marriage. However, the power-couple have now surprised their fans and followers with their recent outing together! Aishwarya and Abhishek recently attended a wedding at a hotel in Juhu, and pictures of them posing together have gone viral on the internet. This recent development has not only put their divorce rumours to an end, but it also makes one wonder how far Indian couples can go to keep their family together for the sake of their children and loved ones. Not just Abhishek-Aishwarya, but in the past too many Indian couples have gone the extra mile to keep their relationship going whether in or out of wedlock despite their differences. Indian marriages whether legally or not definitely last for a lifetime, when it comes to family and relationships.

Amidst rumours of a divorce, Hardik Pandya and Natasha Stankovic finally announced their mutual divorce in a statement on social media this year. And they do seem to follow their words, considering that their son Agastya spent quality time with this father Hardik for Diwali 2024. Meanwhile, in an interview with Etimes post-divorce, Natasa said, “We (Hardik and I) are still a family. We have a child, and the child will always make us a family at the end of the day. I haven’t done that anyway because Agastya needs to stay with both parents.”
2. AR Rahman and Saira Banu
Musician AR Rahman and Saira Banu shocked everyone by announcing their separation in November 2024 after 29 years of marriage, and three children together. With a female bassist from Rahman’s troupe also announcing her divorce within a day of the musician’s statement, people started speculating of an affair which might have led to Rahman’s divorce. However, Saira Banu dismissed the allegations of infidelity or misconduct by Rahman and instead called him “a gem of a person” and “the best man in the world”.
