Taylor Swift’s blockbuster Eras Tour came to an end on December 8 after 149 shows.
Reportedly the highest grossing tour of all time and the first to pass $2 billion in revenue, the Eras Tour has earned the Karma singer the title of first ever person to become a billionaire primarily from music, and the world’s richest female musician.
The 14-time Grammy winner, who has always been known to be kind, humble and a genuinely good person to work with, has rewarded her crew with bonuses worth $197 million on top of their salaries over the past two years, as per People.
An insider spilled to the outlet that truck drivers, caterers, dancers, musicians, instrument techs, merch team, lighting, sound, production staff and assistants, carpenters, band, security, choreographers, pyrotechnics, riggers, hair, make-up, wardrobe, physical therapists and video team and more – everyone’s hardwork and efforts in making this tour an incredible success has been acknowledged and rewarded in monetary form.
Earlier also it was reported that when the American pop icon had ended her first North American leg of the tour, she had showered the team with $55 million as bonuses.
According to USA Today, the total amount she gave as bonuses is around 10% of her total ticket earnings of her record-breaking tour.
Around 10.1 million tickets were sold throughout the entire tour racking up to around $2.1 billion, as per the outlet.
While performing on her last show of the Eras Tour in Vancouver, Travis Kelce’s girlfriend thanked her entire team for making the tour possible.
“This tour has been the adventure of a lifetime. I speak on behalf of my band, my crew, my fellow performers, who all left their families and spent time away from everything that they know and love, and have performed when they were sick,” Swift gushed.
She added, “When anything was going on in their lives, they made sure that this show happened for you, and I just wanted to say that on behalf of all of us, we will never forget you giving us that moment.”
