A few weeks ago, my coworker strode into the office wearing the perfect pair of suede moto boots. I knew instantly that I had to have them. However, after an overzealous Black Friday, I wasn’t quite prepared to drop $180 on her same Steve Madden style.
I was then on a mission to find a lookalike pair that wouldn’t dent my budget quite the same. Surprisingly, Walmart came through. The retailer’s $13 Time and Tru Moto Hardware Boots look nearly identical to my coworker’s shoes, but they cost me 93 percent less.
Time and Tru Moto Hardware Boots
The affordable style, which is on sale for even less than its already impressively low price tag, looks just as expensive as the original style. Its faux suede material is luxe and soft to the touch, while the silver-tone hardware elevates the design even further. Everything from the fabric, color, silhouette, and metal details is nearly identical to the designer version.
The boots are durable, comfortable, and feature a cushioned sole that makes them ideal for walking or spending long amounts of time on my feet. Right after unboxing the shoes, I threw them on for dinner in New York City and was able to walk a mile there without so much as a blister. The boot height hits at just the right spot under my knee, which elongates my overall frame, while the regular width is ideal for my wide calves. They feel roomy at the top in a flattering and comfy way, but aren’t so big that I’m swimming in the style.
The design’s small heel literally and figuratively elevates the boots, and the square toe adds a classic edge. I also love how versatile the Time and Tru shoes are. Just like how my coworker was able to wear her Steve Madden boots to the office with a blazer, I can similarly style them for a professional setting or with dresses, skirts, and denim for a night out.
One shopper also raved about the way the boots fit their calf and ankle, and said the overall style is comfortable and stylish with an insulated nylon interior that keeps their feet warm. Another customer added that they bought the shoes in two colors and are ready to snag a third, while a third reviewer wrote that their friends thought they were real suede.
Head over to Walmart to snag the designer lookalike style while they’re still 93 percent less than the Steve Madden version or keep scrolling to shop more moto-inspired styles from the retailer.
