Meg Ryan has recently broken her silence on her awkward interview with Michael Parkinson.
The You Have Got Mail star recalled her interview with Michael where they discussed about actress’ poorly reviewed movie, In The Cut.
After her cold response to Michael’s questions, the interviewer called the actress “rude and difficult”.
Now, Meg clarified her stance in a new interview with The Times, saying, “I thought it was so bad.”
“In the United States the talk shows have breaks every four minutes for adverts, so I kept waiting for the break because I was gonna stand up and leave,” explained the 63-year-old.
Meg told the outlet, “But the break never came because it was on the BBC.”
The What Happens Later actress revealed she was made to feel uncomfortable by fashion experts Trinny Woodall and Susannah Constantine on the same show as they passed judgement on her look.
“And also, there were these, I don’t know, outfit criticisers on the show, and he asked them, ‘What do you think of what she’s wearing right now?” recalled Meg.
It is for this reason the actress opened up that she never spoke to Michael after the show.
“Wow, I didn’t know who that guy was to begin with, and I don’t have to think about him again,” she stated.
Earlier in a Marie Claire interview, the When Harry Met Sally actress mentioned that Michael slammed her for being nude in the movie.
“I don’t even know the man. That guy was like some disapproving father! It’s crazy. I don’t know what he is to you guys, but he’s a nut,” she remarked.
Meg added, “He said something like, ‘You should go back to doing what you were doing.’ I thought, ‘Are you like a disapproving dad? Back off, buddy.’ I was so offended.”
