If your 2025 New Year’s resolution involves hitting the highways and seeing more of North America, we just found the perfect little house for you.
Amazon has a mobile tiny home for people who love the sound of the RV life but are worried it’ll be a little too cramped. This living space from Nomadnest packs 360 square feet into a 36-foot-long shotgun-style layout—all on wheels. Some smart design choices make the dwelling feel a lot bigger than it looks.
Let’s take a closer look inside one of the more unique tiny homes we’ve seen so far.
Nomadnest Tiny House
This compact house seems to make use of every square foot, but its most ingenious feature is the bedroom loft, which sits under a double-pitched roof that gives the home a sleek look and added weather protection. The elevated sleeping space is big enough to hold a queen bed but feels even roomier because of a wide window and the use of angled slats instead of solid walls on the ends.
There’s a second bedroom at the far end of the home on the main level that can hold a full-size bed or bunk beds. That room also has a spacious desk built into a recess in the wall to avoid taking up precious walking space.
Similar tricks are used to open up more space throughout the home, such as a recess under the stairs that holds a washing machine, and storage cubbies built under the platform that slightly elevates the living room. Hooks for your coats and bags line the wall to your right as you walk through the door. Touches like that make it feel like a European-inspired home on wheels.
Sliding barn doors seal the full bathroom without sacrificing any space while it’s open. The fixtures inside are modern and tasteful, including a tankless toilet and vessel sink. The shower has a bench, an essential for people with mobility issues (or just a helpful feature for shaving your legs).
A full kitchen sits across from the cozy dining nook and features an L-shaped bench placed under the house’s biggest window. Speaking of windows, there are 10 of them throughout the home, meaning opportunities for natural light pretty much everywhere you turn. There’s another large one over the desk in the downstairs bedroom.
The exterior of the house uses steel siding and wood accents, which are customizable by color, and the trim and roofing come in three colors. Amazon has a bunch of tiny houses but this one combines smart design and full mobility in a way that makes it stand out from the crowd. It’s at the pricier end of the spectrum for tiny homes, but the thoughtful, stylish elements justify the price tag.
