Robyn Lively is standing by her sister Blake Lively‘s side. Following the news of the actress’s lawsuit against her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni, Robyn publicly showed her support for her younger sibling with a message of solidarity on social media.
“FINALLY justice for my sister @BlakeLively,” Robyn wrote alongside a collage of screenshots from a New York Times article about the lawsuit. She proceeded to share a link to the Times coverage and asked her followers to “please read” it while also adding a rainbow heart emoji around Blake’s name.
In the Times piece, the details of Blake’s sexual harassment lawsuit against Baldoni were revealed. In legal filings, the actress claimed that Baldoni “improvised” kissing scenes that he “insisted” on shooting “over and over again,” inquired about her sex life, and showed her nude videos of other women. She also alleges that, after filming wrapped, the actor deployed a smear campaign in retaliation against her.
Regarding the lawsuit, Blake issued a statement to the Times that read: “I hope that my legal action helps pull back the curtain on these sinister retaliatory tactics to harm people who speak up about misconduct and helps protect others who may be targeted.”
In addition to Robyn, It Ends with Us author Colleen Hoover has also spoken out in support of Blake. “You have been nothing but honest, kind, supportive and patient since the day we met,” Hoover wrote of Lively. “Thank you for being exactly the human that you are. Never change. Never wilt.” She also shared a link to the Times‘s story.
Meanwhile, Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman told InStyle that Blake’s lawsuit is an attempt to “fix her negative reputation,” adding that her allegations are “false, outrageous and intentionally salacious with an intent to publicly hurt.”
