Badminton player Pusarla Venkata Sindhu embarked on a new journey, tying the knot with Venkata Datta Sai in an intimate wedding ceremony on December 22 in Rajasthan. From her engagement to the wedding mandap, the celebrated athlete’s fashion choices throughout the celebrations have been a captivating blend of tradition, modernity, and timeless elegance. Engagement Look
Sindhu exchanged rings in a romantic and intimate ceremony on December 14. For her engagement ceremony, she opted for a muted metallic blue full-sleeved dress that came with a classic V-neck, which later flared into a long skirt from the waist onwards. The demure dress was styled with minimum accessories, like a classic watch and a chic pair of earrings. Coming to her hairdo, her tresses were left open, styled in soft waves.
Haldi
Moving away from the classic yellow and pink outfits, the Olympic winner picked a pristine white co-ord set for her haldi ceremony. The outfit came with a skirt, an embellished blouse, and a sheer cape. Ditching heavy-duty jewellery, she styled her look with minimal accessories, including statement earrings, maangtika, and bracelet. Her braided hairdo perfectly sealed the deal for her.
Mehendi
For her mehendi function, she dolled up in a boho-chic, lilac-hued lehenga with pearl-studded work atop it. The soft tone of the lehenga was highlighted with a golden head ornament, bangles, and statement earrings. A matching clutch added the final touch to her look. Like other functions, she opted for a soft makeup look that made her look prettier than ever.

PV Sindhu made heads turn in a sequined, green-toned, body-hugging gown for her sangeet ceremony. The dazzling fit with intricate detailing and sleeveless design made her look absolutely stunning and remarkable. She paired her outfit with elegant jewellery and minimal makeup. Her hair was tied back in a ponytail, doing all the justice to her mesmerising outfit.
Pellikuthuru ceremony
PV Sindhu’s stunning look for her Pellikuthuru ceremony was all things traditional. She went for a gorgeous red-toned kanjiveram saree with golden work all over. She tied her hair in braids with a middle parting for her outfit to be the centre of attention. Heavy jewels and minimal makeup brought the athlete’s ultimate bridal glow.
Pheras Look
PV Sindhu adorned an ensemble and jewellery designed by ace fashion designer Manish Malhotra on her special day. She exuded elegance in an antique gold hand-woven tissue saree that interweaves gold and silver stripes with badla and zardozi embroidery. The saree was teamed up with an elegant blouse that was embellished with intricate craftsmanship. Bringing together her look was a handwoven, crushed, tissue-embellished dupatta as a floor-sweeping head veil.
Styled by celebrity fashion stylist Bornali Calideiraa, the bridal ensemble was teamed with the emerald and diamond statement necklaces and earrings, nose ring, bangles, matha patti, traditional kamarband, and haath-phool from Manish Malhotra’s High Jewellery.
Varmala look
For another wedding ceremony, the badminton player wore a handcrafted Mysore silk lehenga from the Sabyasachi Heritage Bridal collection. She paired the red and golden attire with an embroidered dupatta and the house classic “Kanthi” blouse. Her stunning attire was elevated with the right choice of accessories, which included a heavy gold and emerald necklace, matching statement earrings, and a grand maang tikka, which added a touch of grandeur to her attire. Don’t miss out on her sleek low bun hairstyle, adorned with a delicate gajra, giving her a traditional yet modern bridal look.
Reception
Coming to her grand reception in Hyderabad, PV Sindhu wore an ivory-toned tulle lehenga crafted with Swarovski, sequins, and crystals from the shelves of Falguni Shane Peacock. The ensemble was elevated with a matching blouse, two drapes, and a dupatta. Completing her stunning look was an emerald and diamond jewel with matching earrings.
