Shilpa Shetty mentioned how she believes in eating simple and home cooked meals. Here’s what her diet looks like.
Shilpa Shetty is one of the fittest celebrities in Bollywood. The actor often takes to her social media account to share her workout sessions which often include a mix of yoga, Pilates, and aerobics. The 49-year-old actor recently opened up about her diet and mentioned that she is a foodie. She revealed that she believes in eating the ‘right food’ rather than opting for ‘steamed or boiled food.’
In an earlier conversation with Complete Wellbeing, Shilpa Shetty revealed what she eats in a day. She mentioned how she does not restrict herself but rather believes in following a healthy and balanced diet where she eats right. She added how she gives herself cheat days where she indulges in her favourite desserts such as cakes, kulfi, and gulab jamuns.
What Does Shilpa Shetty Eat For Breakfast?
In the interview, the actor mentioned that she starts her day with aloe vera juice. She added that she eats home-cooked meals. She said, “My day starts with aloe vera juice. It is great for your immune system; it’s great for your skin. Then I have porridge and tea. I avoid white sugar as far as I can and have only brown sugar. My theory is to replace everything white with brown — be it brown bread brown rice or brown sugar. I don’t eat steamed or boiled food. I eat normal food but cooked in a healthy vegetable oil or olive oil.”
What Does Shilpa Shetty Include In Her Lunch And Dinner?
In the same interview, Shilpa mentioned how she includes simple and hearty items in her diet. She continued, “For lunch, I have dal, rice (brown) or chapatti and chicken curry and one vegetable. If I am hungry in the evening, I’ll have one brown toast with two eggs and tea and, at night, I try and eat early. I eat a salad, soup and one chicken dish. My diet is very simple. It’s easy to follow.”
Apart from her healthy diet, she alternates between yoga and weight training to maintain her svelte frame.
