What makes an Amritsari Kulcha special?
An Amritsari kulcha is a flatbread made from a mix of wheat or refined flour. It is rolled out and stuffed with a mixture of onions and potatoes. They are, then, cooked in a tandoor which gives them a perfectly crispy exterior while the inside is soft and bursting with flavour.
Recently, the dish was also featured on Taste Atlas 2024-25 list of the ‘100 Best Foods by Category,’ ranking among the top breads globally. It featured alongside another classic – butter garlic naan.
