Well, that bob was short-lived. The ring, however, was not. After debuting an Old Hollywood curl-pin bob at the Golden Globes on Sunday, Zendaya has traded the cropped look for a long ponytail and a set of thick, blunt bangs. (Presumably, there is some wig and hairpiece magic going on here.) Not to mention, her most recent outing also included the ring that came into question at the awards ceremony and sparked engagement rumors—which were later confirmed.
During an appearance at a special screening of Challengers at Pacific Design Center in Hollywood just one day after her Golden Globes appearance, Zendaya showed off a dramatic new hair look, which included a long, sleek ponytail and thick forehead fringe with face-framing strands on either side, as well as her new bling. She paired the sparkler—which is believed to be a 6 carat cushion-cut diamond coming in at around $300,000, according to jewelry expert Jack Stone from U.K. jeweler Steven Stone—with a black buttoned leather jacket layered over a black minidress with a tulle hem.

Zendaya also debuted a teeny tiny “T” tattoo along with a brand new diamond ring at the Golden Globes, which she wore on a very telling finger, immediately sparking rumors of an engagement between her and Tom Holland. Well, since then, reps for Zendaya and Holland confirmed the engagement to People after TMZ initially reported the news.

Holland recently spoke about his now-fiancée on the “Dish” podcast with Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett, calling Zendaya the “best thing that’s ever happened to me.” He went on to describe their cozy domestic routine of cooking for each other in between film shoots. Meanwhile, Zendaya has also gushed about her partner’s natural charisma. “I’m more shy and kind of quiet, so it takes a little bit more to pull me out of my shell, but he’s great at just talking to people and getting to know people,” she said last year during Buzzfeed’s puppy interview. “You see him on talk shows and stuff like that. He’s just naturally very good at that. Whereas for me, I’ve definitely had to pull it out of me a little bit. He’s got that natural gift.”

Since news of the engagement, a source has revealed to People that Holland has been “wanting to propose to [Zendaya] for a while now.”
“He’s always been crazy about her. He always knew she was the one,” the source went on. “They have something very special.”
