Ingredients for Mutton Curry
- Mutton
- Powdered turmeric
- Garam masala powder
- Green chilies
- Crushed garlic
- Yogurt
- Clove
- Chopped tomato
- Cardamom
- Chilli powder
- Coriander powder
- Ground fennel seeds
- Crushed ginger
- Salt
- Refined oil
- Onion
- Fenugreek leaves
Steps to Prepare
Step 1: For the Methi Mutton recipe, first make the marinade with yogurt, chili powder, salt, turmeric powder, crushed green chillies, crushed ginger, and garlic. Once this is done, place the mutton pieces in a large bowl and marinate for 3-4 hours.
Step 2: Then, put some oil in a pot and add cloves to it. As they begin to crackle, add chopped green chilies and onions to it.
Step 3: At this step, add the tomato and continue to stir for 2-3 minutes, and then add the methi leaves to it and toss well.
Step 4: Further add green cardamom, turmeric, chilli powder, coriander, and garam masala and continue to stir.
Step 5: Next, add marinated mutton meat to the pot and toss it to coat the mixture.
Step 6: Add water as per the consistency of gravy required. Add salt and cover with a lid. Cook it over medium heat for 30 minutes, stirring regularly.
Step 7: Then add fennel seeds and stir well. Cook it uncovered on high flame for a few minutes. Finally, turn off the burner. Serve your delicious methi mutton hot with bread or rice.
