American actress and singer Mandy Moore recently expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the Los Angeles Fire Department after they came to her rescue during a difficult situation.
The 40-year-old star shared on social media about the damage her home faced from the Eaton Fire, located about 30 miles from the Pacific Palisades fire.
On Saturday, she shouts out to all the hero who have been doing their jobs to save lives by capturing a heartfelt moment of them enjoying a well-deserved fast food break.
Sharing the post, Mandy wrote, “Grateful doesn’t cover it. Hope these guys got a round of double doubles on the house!”
The Midway star recently shared her struggles with an overwhelming sense of “survivor’s guilt.” Although her home was affected by the Los Angeles wildfires, it was spared from total destruction, unlike many others.
“We were able to park and walk up our street to bear witness to all the loss. Miraculously, the main part of our house is still standing. For now. It’s not livable but mostly intact,” she continued.
Mandy went on saying: “We lost Taylor and griffin’s studio with every instrument and piece of equipment they’ve ever owned. We lost our garage and back house. Everyone we know lost everything. Every house on our street is gone.”
“My in laws. My brother and sister in law- 6 weeks from welcoming their first baby. Our best friends.”
“Feeling weird survivors guilt. We love this community and will do everything we can to help rebuild and support,” Mandy added.
