Indian comedy legend Johnny Lever has praised Pakistani actor Imran Ashraf, commending his hosting skills on the popular comedy talk show Mazaq Raat.
In a video message, Johnny Lever highlighted Imran Ashraf’s versatility and celebrated his contributions to the entertainment industry.
Johnny Lever, renowned for his comedic brilliance, acknowledged Imran Ashraf’s dramatic roles, particularly his performances as Bhola in Ranjha Ranjha Kardi and Shammo in Mushk. “Imran Bhai, As-Salaam-O-Alaikum. I have seen your work, especially in your dramas. You were incredible in those characters,” said Johnny Lever.
“Anchoring is no easy task. Your presentation was excellent, and your interaction with the audience was fantastic. Your sense of good music is also remarkable,” Johnny Lever noted.
The actor further praised the comedic talent of Mazaq Raat regulars, including Akram Udas. “We miss legends like Albela and Sardar Kamal, but your team, including Akram, is doing a fantastic job,” he said.
Visibly moved by the appreciation, Imran Ashraf shared the video on Instagram, calling it “the biggest award” of his career. “Johnny Lever Sahab, your words mean the world to me. Your appreciation motivates me to work even harder. May Allah keep you happy,” Imran Ashraf wrote.

Imran Ashraf is set to appear in the cross-border film Enna Nu Rehna Sehna Nai Aunda alongside Indian actor Jassie Gill.
