Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag and his wife Aarti Ahlawat are reportedly separating after two decades of marriage.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2004, have fueled divorce rumors after unfollowing each other on Instagram, according to reports by Indian media. The couple shares two sons, Aryaveer, born in 2007, and Vedant, born in 2010.
Recent social media activity has raised further questions about their relationship. Sehwag’s Diwali celebrations, which he shared on Instagram, featured photos of himself with his sons and mother, but Aarti was notably absent. This absence has led to increased speculation regarding the status of their marriage.
In addition, two weeks ago, Sehwag visited the Vishwa Nagayakshi temple in Palakkad, sharing pictures from the trip on his Instagram account. Once again, Aarti was not mentioned or featured in the post, prompting more questions from fans and the media.
Sources suggest that the couple has been living separately for several months, with reports indicating they may be planning to file for divorce soon.
Despite the ongoing speculation, neither Sehwag nor Ahlawat has publicly commented on the situation, and the exact reason for the reported rift remains unclear.
Sehwag, who retired from international cricket in 2015, is currently serving as a member of the Anti-Doping Appeal Panel of the National Anti-Doping Agency.
