To commemorate 25 years of Sabyasachi, Alia Bhatt graced the occasion in a black sari and paired it with an embellished bralette blouse.
Channelling Ms. Rani Chatterjee from Rocky and Rani Ki Prem Kahani, Alia Bhatt graced the 25th anniversary celebrations of couturier Sabyasachi in a saree and jewellery from the brand.
The dress code for the occasion which was ‘Strictly Black’ saw Alia cast a spell in a handcrafted black Murshidabad silk saree designed by Sabyasachi. Fluid and ethereal, the monochrome saree was highlighted with an embellished blouse. And it also became the showstopper look in Alia’s style moment. The contemporary sleeveless blouse was enhanced with hand painted appliques, semi precious stones, tea dyed crystals, tinted sequins, hand cut sequins and metallic threads.
While the saree remains a classic, the blouse is a definite hit. A perfect silhouette for the contemporary Indian wedding, the versatile blouse can be styled with a lehenga or a pair of classic jeans. And Alia makes this blouse a perfect showstopper. We love how she adds her own quirky charm to an Indian silhouette.
Ahead of the show, Alia Bhatt took to Instagram and shared a sneak peek of her glamorously done nails. While sticking to the theme, the hint of gold and the embellished blouse and jewellery added opulence to Alia’s style. “Celebrating tonight #25yearsofSabyasachi” expressed Alia Bhatt on her Instagram story, which she posted before her grand entry at the show.
Complementing her curves, the saree drape playfully moved as Alia posed for the shutterbugs at the show. What we love about Alia and her drapes is the effortless grace and energy she brings with her.
While the drape exuded modern India, her hairstyle celebrated the old world charm. The soft waves styled in a chic bun was met with her love for minimal makeup. Alia’s style has been a creative amalgamation of Indian and western silhouettes, and every Sabyasachi look she has adorned till date has celebrated her personality to the T.
The 25 years of Sabyasachi was celebrated by an array of celebrities including Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Sobhita Dhulipala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Siddharth, Alizeh, Ananya Panday, Rani Mukerji, Sharvari, Anaita Shroff Adajania, Deepika Padukone, Kusha Kapila, Shabana Azmi, Bipasha Basu, Sagarika Ghatge, Shalini Passi, Ananya Birla, Ami Patel, Eka Lakhani, and Banita Sandu among others.
