Gabriel Macht shared that he often feels guilty when meeting fans who went to law school because of Suits, joking that he feels responsible for their tough career paths.
After spending eight years as Harvey Specter on the fan favourite show, the 53-year-old actor has met countless fans who say the Suits inspired them to pursue law.
He reflected on the unexpected impact and influence of the drama series on aspiring lawyers, which has been undeniable.
“Many kids that have gone to law school because of the show because they think it’s fast-moving, cool, and slick.” he explained while chatting with People.
When fans credit the show for inspiring their legal careers, he always responds with humour. “People come up to me and say, ‘I became a lawyer because of you,’ and I apologise profusely,” he humorously shared.
Gabriel admitted he always offers an apology when fans tell him they pursued law because of him. “I just say, ‘I’m sorry.’ If you love reading, great, you’re going to be buried in books for hours,” he quipped.
The Because I Said So actor expressed how happy he was to know that people feel connected to the story and appreciates how fans have brought new excitement to the hit series since its big comeback in 2023. He isn’t sure if it was Netflix, TikTok, or just fate that made it explode in popularity.
