Alo Delight Bralette
I’ve worn this bra so many times the print on the label has rubbed off. It’s very comfortable, adjustable, and form-fitting, which is a win for me, as I find that, with my body type, bras tend to pucker around the chest. The bralette is mid-length, landing somewhere between a sports bra and a yoga tank, so I feel comfortable wearing it alone or with a t-shirt outside of yoga. To be honest, I haven’t bought a real bra in years. —Jenny Clise
Harper Wilde Bliss Bralette
If I could pick one bra for yoga to wear the rest of my life, it would be the this one. It’s incredibly soft, contains no pads or wires, layers seamlessly underneath a t-shirt, and comes in more than 12 colors. Though not technically a sports bra, I wear it just as easily at the yoga studio and gym as I do hanging out at home or running errands.
This style has thicker straps that aren’t adjustable, although there are other styles from the brand that offer that, including the Triangle Bliss Bralette. One online reviewer remarked that this bra created a “uniboob” effect. Since there aren’t exactly cups, your boobs may kinda merge a little more than they would in a traditional bra. I’d rather they merge than veer off the road. —Laura Harold
All In Motion Women’s Everyday Soft Light Support Strappy Sports Bra
This sports bra is comfortable, high-quality, chic, and yes, it’s from Target. The clean lines, pretty colorways, and reasonable price point ($16) are just a few of the reasons that I own five of these, which are my go-to for yoga class and beyond.
We like to dish about downsides of products here so you know these reviews are honest. I don’t have any. Get this bra. —Calin Van Paris
Free People Happiness Runs Long Crop Tank
This is the yoga bra I wear to class way too many times in a row and then feel compelled to wear something else to prove to others (or maybe just myself) that I own other bras. Then I end up wearing it anyway because it’s so damn comfortable. It’s compressive, conforms crazy well to curves without smooshing everything, doesn’t ride up, and isn’t annoyingly constrictive. It’s also sufficiently long that I don’t feel self-conscious when I start to lose layers during hot yoga.
As someone who’s less endowed than many, I find the limited sizing options to work, but the XS/S, M/L, and XL approach isn’t ideal for everyone. Undecided? Size up. And if the hues feel a touch enthusiastic for your vibe, search for preloved options in the more muted tones of previous versions of the Happiness Runs Crop Tank on Poshmark and other resale sites. —Renee Marie Schettler
Champion Infinity Racerback Sports Bra
I’ve had this yoga bra in my closet for literally more than a decade and have no recollection of where, how, or why I acquired it. Even though it’s embedded with permanent fuzz balls from being washed and dried so many times, I still love it. The Infinity is comfy, stretchy, and surprisingly supportive for large chests. One online reviewer pointed out that it’s perhaps not quite as supportive as the previous iteration of the same bra. Still, I love it. —Laura Harold
