Local design firm SHED Architecture and Design has just created a home defined by its vertical wood siding and jagged slopped roof. It is located in West Seattle, Washington and the design inspiration stems from the step peaks of Swiss mountains. It stands out with the two roofs forming the slope and it goes in different directions.
The principal of SHED Architecture & Design, Prentis Hale noted to Dezeen, “Our clients spoke fondly of their years living in Switzerland, so we leaned into the idea of designing a home whose form evoked a jagged peak. The intersection of the peaked upper volume with a low front range of a porch connects the house to the street and to the sky.”
