Buckingham Palace confirmed that King Charles has taken a key decision about a significant royal title amid Prince Harry’s potential plans of UK return.
The monarch bestowed the title of “His Highness” to the new Aga Khan, Prince Rahim Al-Hussaini, 53, after the demise of his father, Prince Karim Al-Hussaini.
The late Aga Khan passed away last week at the age of 88, and his son was named the Aga Khan V.
According to Hello! Magazine, the Palace revealed that the King gave a prestigious title to honour the “long-standing royal tradition.”
For the unversed, Queen Elizabeth II gave the royal title of “His Highness” to the late spiritual leader Prince Karim Al-Hussaini in July 1957. The monarch followed in the footsteps of his late mother.
Notably, the King also expressed his deep sadness over the death of the Ismaili community leader.
It is important to note that King Charles’ important decision regarding the title came after Hello! magazine reported the Duke of Sussex’s ‘simple’ mission.
As per Harry’s close pal, the father of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet “wants to ensure the safety of himself and his family while in the UK so his children can know his home country and so he can help support his patronages and their important work.”
