Arnold Schwarzenegger seems to be pretty proud of son Patrick Schwarzenegger.
The Hollywood star recently shared his reaction to his son’s scene featuring nudity in the Season 3 premiere of The White Lotus.
After attending the star-studded premiere in Los Angeles on Monday, the Hollywood icon took to Instagram to offer a lighthearted take on his son’s role.
“What a show!” Schwarzenegger wrote alongside a photo of Patrick.
“I could claim to be surprised to find out he has a nude scene, but what can I say — the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.” Encouraging fans to tune in, the Terminator star added, “Don’t miss it this Sunday — trust me.”
Patrick responded to his father’s playful remark on X, formerly Twitter, with a simple reaction: “Parents,” followed by two facepalm emojis.
Schwarzenegger, 77, has a history of on-screen and artistic nude appearances. He famously posed without clothing for a magazine photoshoot in 1970, which was later published by Spy Magazine in 1992.
Addressing the topic during an interview on The Oprah Winfrey Show that same year, the actor defended his decision, saying, “Why would I get upset about the nude photograph that I posed for an artist for, for a sculpture? I’m not embarrassed. I have nothing to hide.”
His on-screen career has also featured similar moments, including scenes in The Terminator (1984) and its sequel Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991).
Patrick was supported at the White Lotus premiere by his family, including his father, mother Maria Shriver, and siblings Katherine, 35, Christina, 31, and Christopher, 27.
Katherine’s husband, actor Chris Pratt, and Patrick’s fiancée, Abby Champion, were also in attendance.
