Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shared an uplifting message after King Charles held a meeting in efforts towards a reconciliation.
The office of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex issued an update the couple continued with the events at the Invictus Games, with Meghan’s plans to finally make a return.
The message highlighted the “resilience and determination” of the competitors who were taking part in the games as it carries on in Whistler after three days in Vancouver.
“The Invictus Games took Whistler by storm today with an action-packed day of winter sports,” it read. “Kicking things off, the Duke and Duchess joined in the fun at the Bubly Tube Park, in the heart of Whistler Blackcomb, zooming down the 1,000-foot track alongside competitors families and friends.”
It noted that “adrenaline was flowing at the Novice Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding Finals over on Whistler Mountain” as the participants “showed off their resilience and determination, carving their way through the course with the help of adaptive equipment like sit-skis and outriggers.”
The event “truly embodied the spirit of the Invictus Games” as it had “grit, resilience, and a deep sense of camaraderie.”
“Whistler’s breathtaking setting provided the perfect backdrop for competitors to push their limits with the help of cutting-edge adaptive equipment and the support of everyone around them. The energy, passion, and excitement were felt by all, leaving us counting down the hours until the next round of action!”
The statement came after Buckingham Palace revealed details of a significant meeting King Charles held to encourage unity and reconciliation in during his reign.
On Tuesday, the monarch met with the leaders of the Muslim and Jewish faith in order to develop a reconciliation accord, which was signed after the meeting had concluded.
