Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence has resumed his royal engagements, appearing in public with crutches as he continues to recover from an injury.
The husband of Princess Anne was spotted at the Science and Innovation Park in Wroughton, Swindon, where he fulfilled his duties as chair of the Science Museum Group.
The facility houses an array of historical artifacts, including a 1960s nuclear missile and Stephen Hawking’s voice synthesiser.
Sir Tim suffered a suspected torn ligament in January while working at the Gatcombe estate in Gloucestershire. His injury prevented him from travelling, forcing him to remain in the UK for treatment rather than accompanying Princess Anne on her recent official visit to Cape Town.
Despite his injury, the retired Royal Navy officer remains actively involved in both royal and professional responsibilities, having begun his four-year tenure as chair of the Science Museum Group in early 2024.
Meanwhile, Princess Anne recently returned to Southmead Hospital, where she had previously received treatment for a minor head injury last summer.
