Millie Bobby Brown opened up about her struggle with social skills
The Stranger Things actress appeared in Vanity Fair’s cover story for its March 2025 issue and shared how entering in acting career at an early age affected her social skills.
Brown, who started her career at the age of 11 with the Netflix sci-fi show, said, “I don’t have many friends, because of who I am. I didn’t go to school, so I don’t have the best social skills when it comes to people my own age and friendships.”
“I struggle with that quite a bit,” she continued.
“I missed out on a few things. But I’m working through them,” Brown added.
Including Brown, the cast of The Stranger Things was given education on the set privately, which she believes hindered her social development.
“I don’t allow many people into my life, and when I do, I think it should be super moderated. I started this really young, and I felt that the press specifically was very, very harsh on me,” she told the publisher. “And so I just like to make sure that I’m advocating for myself.”
It is pertinent to mention that the series’ final season will be released in 2025.
