Olivier Lalanne sure knows how to pick em’ when it comes to selecting cover stars for Harper’s Bazaar France. After all, over the past twelve months alone, Lalanne has endorsed everyone from Laetitia Casta and Naomi Campbell to Kate Moss and Layla Etengan as cover girls. The editor, who has served as the head of the magazine since its relaunch in 2023, welcomes back Charlotte Gainsbourg as a Harper’s Bazaar France cover star for February 2025. A little over a year after her last cover appearance, the British-French actress, singer, and undisputed style icon poses for photographer Mark Kean. Styled by Elodie David Touboul, Gainsbourg is all smiles in the joyous cover shot, wearing clothes from Anthony Vaccarello’s Saint Laurent.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
“Charlotte Gainsbourg was the cover the other day,” called out an unimpressed caioherrero.
“Just subscribed and this is the first cover I’m getting? Disappointed,” shared callmejaden.
GivenchyHomme asked: “What the hell is that?”
“Just not an appealing magazine cover. It looks very amateur,” MModa critiqued.
“Not a fan. This cover, despite Charlotte Gainsbourg, feels like a total non-event. For me, it’s the photography that completely ruins this for me. Everything just feels very… amateur and that juvenile art direction isn’t helping matters either,” voiced vogue28.
“Already repeating cover stars, after 2 years… zero creativity. We just had Laetitia’s second cover, so let me guess… March will be Vanessa Paradis in Chanel?” blueorchid noted.
