Martha recently added another member to her furry family—a Persian cat named Dahlia, who came home with her after a trip to New Orleans, Louisiana this weekend.
Martha debuted Dahlia by sharing a video of the beautiful Persian drinking from a water dish on her Instagram. The text on the video read: “This puddy cat is beyond cute!!!! Her name is Dahlia and I adopted her in New Orleans!”
Martha was in New Orleans to attend Super Bowl LIX, during which she starred in not one, but two commercials. In an ad for Skechers, which aired just before kick-off, Martha showed off her breakdancing moves while sporting Skechers Glide-Step Slip-Ins. She also starred alongside Kevin Bacon, Matthew McConaughey, and Charli XCX in an ad for Uber Eats.
Despite her busy schedule, Martha still found time to meet Dahlia, who is the second Persian cat she added to her furry family this year. In January, Martha adopted a four-year-old silver Persian cat named Magnolia from Rock ‘N Rescue, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in Bedford Hills, N.Y.
On her blog, Martha expressed the love she has for this specific breed of cat, admiring their regal appearance and affectionate, laidback demeanor. She explained that they’re often referred to as the “aristocrats of the cat world.”
Martha is a known animal lover and cares for horses, chickens, dogs, cats, and more on her 152-acre farm in Bedford, N.Y. It’s safe to say Dahlia will be in good hands at her new home!
