For me, shopping at Trader Joe’s is always a mix of grabbing items that are on my shopping list as well as scoping out new products that are always popping up throughout the store. But no matter what I’m shopping for, each time I go to Trader Joe’s, there’s one item I always make sure to grab at least a couple boxes of: Chocolate Croissants.
I like to keep the Trader’s Joe’s Chocolate Croissants stocked in my freezer at all times because they’re my favorite Saturday morning breakfast. They’re sold in boxes of four and can be found in the breakfast freezer section of the store and are just $5.49 per box. You can bake one, two, three, or all four at one time.

How To Prepare Trader Joe’s Chocolate Croissants
The directions on the box are for baking the croissants in the oven, but I usually bake mine in my air fryer using the bake setting so I don’t have to wait for the oven to preheat, and they cook in about half the time. Then, in just about 10 minutes, I have freshly-baked chocolate croissants that are still warm when I take the first bite.
The only downside to the croissants is that you must set them out the night before to let them proof and rise. So, there’s no cooking them straight out of the box when you decide you want them. But after setting them out overnight and baking them, you have hot and fresh (almost) homemade croissants without having to make a trip to the bakery. Plus, you get four for the same price you’d likely pay for one at a restaurant.
They’re A Customer Favorite
And I’m not the only one who sings their praises. They were the runner-up in the Breakfast category in Trader Joe’s 16th Annual Customer Choice Awards, second only to the Trader Joe’s Hashbrowns.
In addition to the Chocolate Croissants, they also sell boxes of Almond Croissants and sometimes Double Chocolate Croissants are available. They follow the same preparation method of proofing overnight and baking.
