Uorfi Javed who often makes headlines with her bizarre fashion choices caught the internet’s attention with her latest traditional ensembles, inspired by Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s cinematic classics, Heeramandi and Padmaavat. Working with designers Rimple and Harpreet Narula, Uorfi’s recent photo shoot features several lavish ensembles that honour India’s rich cultural legacy while incorporating contemporary style. The designers, who are renowned for their exquisite work and ability to tell stories via fashion, have already won praise for their work on Padmaavat, in which they created more than 300 costumes that perfectly captured royal magnificence.
The influencer skilfully displayed the splendour of Rimple & Harpreet’s bridal couture with each ensemble. This campaign reimagined bridal fashion with a bold and regal edge, combining modern fusion with archival inspirations. Let us decode Uorfi’s breathtaking looks.
Uorfi wore a deep oxblood velvet lehenga with elaborate zardozi embroidery for one of the photo shoots. The Alauddin Khilji ensemble worn by Ranveer Singh served as the model for the lehenga. She accessorised it with a custom bejewelled bustier that featured a cropped hem, a fitting form, full-length sleeves richly embroidered with beautiful craftsmanship, and a plunging sweetheart neckline. A wool scarf, an embroidered topi, dramatic kohl-lined eyes, and statement rings completed her ensemble. Her loose hair lent a touch of tenderness to the ensemble, and her pink lips and flushed cheeks enhanced the dramatic impact.
Next, the influencer donned a pomegranate pink lehenga dress that was reminiscent of Deepika Padukone’s Rani Padmaavati costume. The lehenga featured Mughal inlay work and antique brocade fragments, as well as a shirt embellished with crystals. A beautiful veil and a brocade dupatta with intricate embroidery enhanced the ensemble. She wore rings, jhumkis, kadhas, haath phool, bangles, a nose ring, a matha patti, and two necklaces. She chose a bright highlighter, pink lips, darker brows and mascara-adorned lashes as her makeup, radiating regal charm.

Uorfi also stunned in a Gharchola saree, a hallmark design by Rimple & Harpreet, which she accessorised with a handmade glass beaded blouse and a custom blouse embellished with semi-precious stones. The designers created a remarkable fusion style by dressing the classic drape over trousers, giving it a contemporary twist. She wore little makeup to highlight the ensemble and accessorised with a matha patti, two necklaces, bangles, and a haath phool.
Finally, Uorfi donned a Satrangi Leheria lehenga, which brings back a unique seven-color Leheria dyeing method that was previously reserved for Rajasthani aristocracy. She paired the colourful lehenga with an antique cape blouse with resham embroidery and marodi ka kaam.
