Lady Gaga is opening up about her upcoming pop album, LG7, which draws inspiration from a pivotal time in her life that left her feeling ‘unhinged’.
During an exclusive interview with Rolling Stone, Gaga, who just dropped Joker 2’s Harlequin, admitted that her upcoming album is “nothing like Chromatica” and will represent a “time in her life.”
She told the outlet, “The pop album is nothing like Chromatica. It’s a completely different record. I don’t know that I’m even ready to talk about it yet, but it’s coming out soon, and I will. What I would say is, it’s all for me. It’s meant to be ingested as a time in my life.
“And I’m also really excited about this idea that I don’t have to adhere to an era if I don’t want to. I can have a few going at once. That feels unhinged and more like me or Harley. Or whoever.”
In addition, the songstress revealed that the album is heavily inspired by her character and it does not adhere to any one genre.
Referring to the latter as a ‘typical’ Lady Gaga record, the House of Gucci star shared that it is destined to blur the lines of pop music, setting a record on its own.
