Despite only being five weeks into the football season, the Kansas City Chiefs is already on a major winning streak—and Taylor Swift couldn’t be any happier.
The pop star attended the Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium on October 7, in which they faced off against the New Orleans Saints. Swift wore a flirty plaid Vivienne Westwood skirt set—which matched Kelce’s outfit before the game—and was spotted cheering alongside fans and friends of the team in the VIP box.
The Chiefs defeated their opponents 26-13, which marks the team’s fifth consecutive win of the season. Following the game, Swift gave her reaction to the Chiefs’s photo finish in an Instagram Story by Chariah Gordon, partner of Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman Jr.
“How do you feel after this win?” Gordon asked Swift, who replied, “No, I think you should answer this time.” Gordon continued, “I think that we feel really good after this win, we’re 5-0, going into a bye (away) week. It’s perfect.” Swift, who was all smiles, couldn’t help but agree. “Perfect is the word,” she said.
Swift’s appearance at Arrowhead Stadium comes as a relief to Swifties, who speculated that her lack of attendance at Kelce’s recent game meant a possible break up for the couple. Ahead of the October 7 game, an Us Weekly source explained that “nothing has changed” in the couple’s relationship; the 34-year-old was just resting up in preparation for busy weeks ahead. “Their schedules are going to be getting super busy so Taylor has been enjoying a few more days of freedom before her upcoming shows,” the source said, referring to the pop star’s Eras Tour, which commences again on October 18 in Florida.
