Imagine being on the exclusive guest list of Mukesh Ambani, one of the world’s richest individuals, and casually dropping by his luxurious Mumbai residence, Antilia, to play a game of PlayStation. It’s a fantasy many might only imagine while daydreaming. It only brings grandeur and opulence to one’s longing to see the most expensive private home on the world’s list. An invitation to visit such a site, with all services within and beyond breathtaking views, is like a dream come true for anyone who delights in a little taste of the high life. But can you enter anyone’s home just like that?
As seen in a recent viral video of two content creators Ben Sumadiwiria and Aris Yeager, decided to test their luck and see if they could gain entry to this palatial abode by claiming to be friends with Mr. Ambani. They filmed their entire interaction with the security guard on duty outside Antilia. The duo tried to convince the guard that they had been invited over by the Ambanis after meeting them at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding. “Yeah, we’re friends with Ambani. We are also wealthy people,” the content creators were heard telling the guard.
In a prank played by the duo, they probably expected a swift rebuff. However, what they might have not anticipated was getting roasted by the smart security guard at Antilia. The guard asked if they had any formal invitation or an e-mail from the Ambanis. Sumadiwiria and his friend responded, “He said we can come any time. Tell him we are here.”
On being asked if they could wait inside the house for some time, the guard replied, “It’s a house, it’s not a restaurant,” which became the highlight of the interaction. Despite further insistence from Sumadiwiria, including the bold claim that his father owns Bali, the guard remained unmoved. The content creators eventually left, who were not allowed to gain entry into the lavish residence.
This video of the humorous prank has gone viral, and has gathered a staggering 30 million views on Instagram and another million on X. Viewers seem to be highly entertained by the security guard’s quick sarcasm and the content creators’ unsuccessful attempts. “Ambani’s security guard roasts a rich kid of Europe,” wrote one Instagram user. Another commented, “Even their security guards talk in English.” Journalist Sonal Ved, also mentioned Orry, the GenZ internet sensation, who previously showed these pranksters over his content.
