My stay at Le Méridien Maldives Resort & Spa was a truly remarkable experience, one that will stay with me for a long, long time. From the moment I arrived, I felt enveloped in the natural beauty of the Maldives and the warm hospitality of the resort. Everything about the resort seemed designed to provide a sense of peace and relaxation, whether it was the breathtaking surroundings, the luxurious amenities, or the staff’s genuine care. It wasn’t just a vacation — it felt like an escape to paradise, where every detail was crafted to create an unforgettable experience.
The resort stands out for its serene location amidst turquoise waters, offering an unmatched sense of tranquility. The water cottages, which felt like private sanctuaries, were a highlight. With a spacious deck and an inviting pool, each cottage felt like a home away from home. The direct access to the lagoon made each morning swim a blissful experience.
Dining with a View
Dining at Le Méridien was another standout. The buffet at Turquoise offered a variety of fresh, local produce and Indian options that made each meal a delightful experience. Want cold cuts with a side of idli and sambar? They got it! The views of the ocean as I had my first meal of the day made it even more special.
In fact, the food at Le Méridien Maldives Resort & Spa is a celebration of flavours and variety, catering to every palate. From ample beverage options — both alcoholic and non-alcoholic — to thoughtfully curated meals, every dining experience felt special. One evening, we had a dinner by the ocean, where the setup was stunningly romantic. The softly lit table by the waves created the perfect ambiance, and the food was just as incredible.
For seafood lovers, dishes like lobster and fresh catches from the Maldivian waters were a treat. Vegetarians were equally delighted with options like perfectly cooked tofu, while meat lovers could indulge in assorted cuts of premium meats. Each restaurant on the property brought something unique to the table, specialising in distinct cuisines that made choosing a favorite nearly impossible.
Seamless Island Exploration
The island itself is a joy to explore. The resort’s 24/7 buggy service made getting around easy, allowing one to enjoy the lush greenery, white sandy beaches and ocean vistas effortlessly. Every ride was an opportunity to soak in the natural beauty of the surroundings.
A Spa Experience Like No Other
The Explore Spa was a true highlight of my stay. Perched above the lagoon, what made it even more unique was the view — beneath the massage bed was a circular glass panel that offered glimpses of vibrant coral gardens below. It was a multisensory escape that left me feeling rejuvenated, both physically and mentally.
Day out with the dolphins
What made the experience even more unforgettable were the activities, like snorkeling with a marine biologist and the sunset dolphin cruise. These experiences allowed me to get closer to the island’s vibrant underwater world and watch dolphins leap against a glowing sunset backdrop.
Lots need to said about the hospitality of the stunning resort. The resort’s staff made my stay truly unforgettable with their warmth, care and attention to detail. From arranging a floating breakfast to making sure I had everything I needed, they go above and beyond to make one feel at home, even though one is, really, far away. Everyone, from the bartenders and front desk team to the spa staff and management, are incredibly thoughtful and always ready to help. Their kindness and willingness to go the extra mile made me feel like I was wrapped in a warm, comforting hug throughout my stay. It wasn’t just great service — it was genuine care that made my time there so special.
