Kriti Sanon has often been honest about her skincare journey ever since she started her beauty line. The actor believes in keeping things candid with her fans when it comes to everything related to her skincare. In an earlier video, the actor took to her YouTube channel and gave her fans a glimpse into her seven-step skincare routine.
Taking to her YouTube channel, Kriti Sanon shared a ‘Wake Up With Me’ video where she gave her fans a sneak peek into her skincare routine. She said, “My morning skincare is very, very simple, and I don’t take too long [with it]. I don’t do a mask every single day, but on special days when I feel like I want to detoxify my skin, I use one.”
Let’s take a look Kriti Sanon’s skincare routine.
Step 1 – Ice Dunking
The actor begins her day with a glass of lukewarm lemon water. Once she is up, she washes her face with clean hands and dunks her face in a bowl of ice-cold water. This process calms down the inflammation and cleanses the pores.
Step 2 – Detoxifying Mask
Kriti mentioned that whenever she has a morning shoot, she opts for a detoxifying mask for her skin. She also mentioned that when she is nearing her period, she uses a hydrating mask.
Step 3 – Undereye Patch
She follows the mask with an undereye patch and places it on top of her mask. She lets it sit for 15 minutes.
Step 4 – Toner
After removing the face mask and the eyepatch, she uses a homemade toner made with glycerine and rose water. She spritzes the toner on her face for some instant hydration. She said, “For those who don’t know about glycerine, it is an underrated product that hydrates your skin, adds moisture to your skin holds that moisture, and has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties.”
Step 5 – Serum
She follows the toner with a hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and alpha arbuti serum. The serum targets uneven and pigmented skin.
Step 6 – Sunscreen
Kriti revealed that she does not like layering her moisturizer with sunscreen. She added that she only uses sunscreen that comes with moisturizing properties as well. She said, “With sunscreen, more is more, so don’t shy away and make sure you are covering your entire face, neck, and eyelids. 80 to 90 percent of premature ageing happens because of skin damage, so don’t skip your sunscreen – whether you are inside or outside the house.”
Step 7 – Lip Balm
She ends her routine with a hydrating and glossy lip balm that she carries everywhere.
