Miley Cyrus is all about owning her journey — even the messy parts.
In a new Instagram video posted January 27, the Flowers hitmaker reflected on her career and the lessons she’s learned while chatting with Pamela Anderson about The Last Showgirl.
“I’ve had so many pivots and different evolutions and — one might say — detours within my path,” Cyrus, 32, admitted. “But it always ends up coming back around to make the next stage of who we are. Something that’s more potent, something that’s more real.”
The Hannah Montana alum revealed that those detours were inspired by Anderson, confessing “Ever since I was little, it was only Pam when people would ask me what I wanted to be when I grow up… The tattoos, the hair, all of it. That’s all I wanted to do.”
Anderson, 57, matched Cyrus’s reflective tone, sharing advice she once got from a director: ‘Bring [your baggage] with you, baby.’” The model then realised, “I’m not ashamed of my life. I don’t need to let anything go,”
For Cyrus, that sentiment hit home. “When I look back, all the mistakes… I am so proud of every moment… I would not go back and change anything” she said, before cheekily adding, “Well, except a couple of outfits.”
