Prince Harry has taken a smart step to bring two hearts closer with his kind gesture amid speculation about his relationship with his loved ones.
James Cairns, British athlete and army veteran, took her girlfriend Hannah Wild’ breath away as he proposed her during his wheelchair basketball game in Canada.
The athlete melted Harry’s heart with his gesture as he took the microphone and dropped to one knee in the middle of the court, drawing cheers from his teammates. She said yes.
Reacting to the news, the Duke of Sussex told Hello!: “At Invictus, we provide a space for healing, outstanding athleticism, and in James and his new fiancée’s case, even if you don’t leave with a medal, you could leave with a ring!”
Harry’s delightful words comes after Buckingham palace released a statement about The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, who have concluded their trip to Nepal.
Cairns, who was shot in the leg during a deployment in Afghanistan, told the outlet that Hannah “pushed me and gave me the driving force to apply for the Invictus Games” after knowing “seven people who died by suicide after battling PTSD” in the last year.
“Invictus has been my driving force because I’ve been struggling with my mental health,” he shared.
Hannah added, “It’s the best place that James could have done it because it means so much to him.”
There have been several Invictus Games proposals since the event kicked off in 2014, and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have also been feeling the love.
Meghan and Harry, who are currently in Canada, also shared a kiss in the public to renew their vow amid ongoing speculation about their realtionship.
